ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation is your own responsibility and we recommend that you book early. There are many motels in the Riccarton area (a selection have been listed below to help you out) as well as the University of Canterbury Halls of Residence which are right on the doorstep of the conference venue. Don't forget the discount booking sites listed at the end, especially if you are booking within a month of the conference.

  • CLOSE TO THE CONFERENCE VENUE

    Please book early at the Academy or Ascot Vale as rooms on hold for the conference at these two places will be released 30 September.

    The Academy Motor Lodge is within a 5 minute walk of the conference venue, in a quiet area. It offers a range of studios and self contained units as well as a licensed restaurant.     The Ascot Vale Motel is a 10 minute walk to the conference venue and local restaurants and bars. It is a modern complex set back from the road, so guests can enjoy quiet units in a central location.     Riccarton Mall and Deans Bush Motel is 15 minutes walk from the conference venue, situated directly opposite Westfield Shopping Centre, Riccarton.     Sonoda is a secluded residence set in beautiful Japanese-inspired gardens. Each apartment has five single bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen lounge with a TV. Each apartment's bathroom has a bathtub.

    Individual bedrooms contain a single bed, drawers, desk, chair, large wardrobe with a lockable area and an Internet connection.
