Pre-conference Pseudomonas Workshop

This workshop will take place on Tuesday 18 November, from (provisionally) 12.00 to 5.00 pm, in the Boardroom at ESR Christchurch (27 Creyke Road). It is being organised to coincide with the New Zealand Microbiological Society Annual Conference and has been generously sponsored by NZMS.

There are at least 6 research groups in NZ who have a major interest in Pseudomonas. The purpose of this workshop is to enable researchers working on this organism to get together for an overview of what is being done in each group as well as to swap notes on technologies, tools etc. This should be particularly useful for newer researchers who are getting familiar with the NZ scene. It should also be an opportunity for Postdocs/ PhDs to present their research to other Pseudomonas workers. A leading Australian Pseudomonas researcher, Cynthia Whitchurch, will be taking part in the workshop and three New Zealand groups have already enthusiastically responded to invitations to participate.
